Takbo dito, takbo roon,
Sabi ng batang kulot.
Nais nyang maglaro,
Habulan, taguan at piko.
Sa di kalayua’y may nagbibisikleta,
Matulin ang pagbike ng kanyang pinsan.
Agad na tumawid ang batang kulot
At natamaan ng bike ang kanyang kilay.
Iyak ng iyak ang batang kulot,
Panay ang kanyang sigaw ng aray.
Dugong tumutulo sa kanyang mukha,
Dulot ng kanyang pagiging pasaway.
Ang kanyang kilay naging peklat na,
Hanggang sa paglaki ay nakasama na,
Ngunit walang pagsisisi ang bata,
Sapagkat noon, siya’y nagsasaya lamang.
Ngayong malaki na, ay pinagmamalaki pa,
Ang peklat sa kanyang kilay.
Hindi kumpleto ang pagkatao niya,
Kung walang peklat ang kilay niya.

I felt deep pity for the gays in the movie Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert because people were very cruel to them. People insulted them, threw stuff on them and made them feel like they’re not normal people. These gays do not deserve that kind of treatment. They are also humans and so they deserve some respect.
Nowadays, people seem to be more open-minded about this issue. Some people are understanding and accept homosexuals, but some people are still disgusted or uncomfortable with this kind of people. We can’t blame them if they feel that way, but probably they need to be more sensitive and considerate to different kinds of people. Everyone deserves equal treatment, no matter who they are or what they are. I have watched numerous films about Queer Theory and in most films, people make fun of homosexuals. This is the reason why homosexuals until now do not have the courage to step up for themselves. They are also sometimes insecure maybe because they feel different.
No matter what, these homosexuals deserve respect, equal treatment, and they have to feel welcome. If we will make them feel comfortable and accept them for who they are, then equality will ensue. Unfortunately, making them feel comfortable and welcome is quite impossible because there are some people who will accept them for who they are but will not tolerate their behavior.
